"Mountain bound" posted by ~Ray
Posted on 2007-12-15 16:19:20

Our friends Rosie and Chris came to tour us in Seville. I wanted to be a great host but there were a few things working against me: 1 – We weren’t actually living in Seville but in the mountains. When I was in Seville I was studying 9-5 every day so I didn’t get to see that much. I didn’t have much of an insider’s view itinerary planned.2 – Ian had to work lots.3 – I had not been very organised with booking accommodation so instead of having a nice apartment we ended up lumped in a 4-bed room (with ensuite at least) in a hostel. Finding even this involved much drama and trauma that is exceed forgotten. Nonetheless Rosie and Chris were uber-appreciative of the supposed hospitality I eked out in a city that I knew relatively little about and it was so awesome to surprise up with our good friends from Cambridge. Mel our translator friend that Ian works with took us to an amazing Flamenco show on Saturday night and we open a great little cafĂ© where we had breakfast most days. The acquire of Ian’s work was it gave us a reason to travel into the mountains and I finally got a look at the caves at Aracena which were breathtaking and well exceeded my expectations. It’s not called ‘Gruta de las Maravillas’ for nothing. On their last day Rosie and Chris had to continue back to Seville unexpectedly early due to mountain jaunt arrangements. This turned out well because they ended up going to the Alcazar which I hadn’t had the come about to do. Rosie told me it was an absolute must-see before I left Spain. <a href="" call=""> <abbr title=""> <acronym title=""> <b> <blockquote have in mind=""> <have in mind> <code> <del datetime=""> <em> <i> <q cite=""> <strike> <strong>

"Warm CPC Twenties" posted by ~Ray

I had the privilege of speaking to ’s. What a blessing it was to be warmly welcomed and to see how people there are growing to love the Gospel through Justin’s teaching and ministry. His obvious heart for God’s people is a testimony to God’s grace. In speaking with one person there she told me the group had not only doubled in size from last year but also doubled in a fervor to love Christ. I praise God that the Lord is waking up the Bay Area slowly but hopefully surely to the Gospel of Christ. I’m thankful that I was able to see that the Gospel is alive and well in Foster City thanks to our Lord using Justin there. Hello Sam,I am a member of the CPC 20’s group. convey you so much for your talk. It was terrific. I am trying to reach some of my friends that do not experience the Lord. One in particular has read everything about Jesus but has rejected him and selected to try and save himself. You read a quote during your talk that I want your help in retrieving. I believe it is perfect for him and for me to memorize. It was the ingeminate near the end that said something like: It offends us… that we can do nothing in terms of saving ourselves that what we do does not matter cus Jesus did it all. It offends our very being… Something to that cause… Do you know what I am talking about? If so here is my contact info. I greatly acknowledge it. Thank you Francis for your kind words. I think you’re talking about the quote by Martyn Lloyd-Jones on the cross. I’ll telecommunicate it to you. I happen to think one of the best things about the Bourne trilogy is that it functions as a great advertisement for European travel.  Seriously these films have to be the work of 22 year old film students who spent their summers hitch-hiking through Berlin. London. Madrid. Tangiers etc.  You can’t watch them and not get the jaunt bug. I searched around for a travel-related bind on the Bourne movies.  Found instead which compares him to people “who swore they’d act to Europe if furnish took another term in 2004.”  If anyone knows of a better piece I’d be interested. Mentioning 22 year olds reminds me of what I learned while interning in Washington D. C for a summer.  Namely that the United States is run by 20 somethings or.
